Let me introduce myself me Javed Hashmi an oil portrait artist resident of Meerut city ( Uttar Pradesh ) this is an ancient city just 65 km away from Delhi ( Capital Of India ) I love to my city very much i am a self taught artist. After 12th class i took admission in B.F.A ( Jamia Miliya Islamia - Delhi ) but unfortunately i dropped my study after 1st year of BFA actually i could not adjust myself in Delhi's atmosphere i felt uncomfortable and decided to go back to my home town. My Father and Mother always helped me to improve my confidence level they says one day you will achieve your goal and i am very confident on myself too.
I believe that my specialization is in portrait painting i can do much better than other Indian artists, i strongly admit that no one can learn techniques of making a portrait painting without God's grace, i feel... i'm lucky man because God has given me such a beautiful talent and hope... one day i will become a world famous portrait artist.
Initially since 1994 i designed covers of novels ( Hindi Upanyas ) for most famous Indian publishers like tulsi pocket books - durga pocket books - dheeraj pocket books - manoj pocket books etc. i enjoyed to Making novel cover designs But with the development of computers this field diminished and in 2003 i gave up this field though i experienced a lot with it, i got perfection in Illustration work as well as in portraits then since 2004 i stepped into contemporary art and found there is a big scope where you can give what you can, an endless field i enjoy paintings a lot and i am improving my painting skills day by day.
At present i am doing some creative work for solo exhibition and i'm also doing work on commission basis like creative paintings, reproduction of great masters, landscapes, animals, flowers, birds, abstract paintings figurative paintings, religious paintings for my daily needs.
I am thankful to god who given me such a beautiful talent and my biggest wish is become a great artist like William Adolphe Bouguereau and Leonardo Da Vinci.
Some of my other favorite artist are M.F.Hussain, Satish Gujral, S. H. Raza, F. N. Souza, Anjolie Ela Menon, Thota Vaikuntam, B. Prabha, Manjeet Bawa, Rasik Raval, Yogendra Rastogi, Liyaqat Ali, H. R. Raja, S. M. Pandit, J. P. Singhal.
